Sideline Passes

Home / Sideline Passes

FOR THE 2019 FOOTBALL SEASON ONLY – 2020 INFORMATION COMING SOON

Fellow Spartans,

In an effort to continue the growth of our Football Players Association, Coach Dantonio and his Administrative Staff have continued their policy for all MSUFPA Members for pre-game sideline passes. Effective with our first home game against Bowling Green, all MSUFPA members will be allowed to return to the sidelines of Spartan Stadium during pre-game. These pre-game sideline passes are VERY LIMITED and NOT GUARENTEED and will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis. In order to be eligible for a pre-game sideline pass, certain procedures have been set into place. They are as follows:

  1. Each player will be allowed ONE (1) pre-game sideline pass for himself ONLY. Attempting to transfer your sideline pass to another individual will result in losing this privilege.
  2. The Sideline Pass is NOT your ticket for admission to the game. You must have purchased a ticket to be able to receive a sideline pass.
  3. You will be able to gain entrance to the field no sooner than one and one-half hour (1 ½) before the announced kickoff time for the game.
  4. In order to receive your pre-game sideline pass, you will have to show a picture ID at Will Call or location TBD.

In order to receive a pre-game sideline pass, you are required to send an email to Alan Haller (haller@ath.msu.edu) with your name, football position played, the years you played, and what game you are requesting the pass for. Alan will provide you with pickup locations which are determined on a per game basis.

PLEASE NOTE: Pre-game sideline passes can only be requested the week leading up to each home game. Requests must be made between Monday at 8am and Thursday at 5pm (the cut off time is strictly on Thursday at 5pm).

Upon entry to the sidelines, show the gate attendant your credential. The pass must be shown AT ALL TIMES while you are on the sidelines. Please be sure to stay on the home team’s sideline behind the green line, do not stand in the team’s designated area, and DO NOT walk on the field. These guidelines must be followed for each home game.

This is an extremely thoughtful gesture from Coach Dantonio and the Athletic Department’s behalf to continue this effort in drawing together former Spartans. We will show our appreciation by following the guidelines that they have put forth. Welcome back to the University and let’s stand behind Coach Dantonio and our football program.  GO GREEN!
